Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about working with Cotarion Inc. and its Business Groups.
We believe businesses should have clear expectations before beginning an engagement. If you don't see your question below, we'd be happy to start a conversation.
-
How do I know if consulting is right for my business?
If you're looking for greater clarity, improved operations, stronger business performance, or help navigating growth, consulting may be the right place to start. Every engagement begins with understanding your business before recommending a solution.
Do I need to know exactly what service I need?
No. Many clients begin with a conversation rather than a specific service. We'll help determine the engagement that best fits your business and goals.
What industries do you work with?
Our consulting approach is built around business fundamentals rather than one specific industry. While every business is unique, strong strategy, healthy operations, and exceptional client experiences are valuable across many industries.
What if I don't know which Business Group I need?
That's completely normal. Many business owners come to us with a challenge rather than a specific solution. We'll take the time to understand your business and recommend the Business Group—or combination of Business Groups—that best supports your goals.
-
Why do you publish your pricing?
We believe businesses should understand the investment before scheduling a consultation. Whenever a service has a clearly defined scope, we publish transparent pricing so you know what to expect.
Some Business Groups provide highly customized or partner-delivered services where pricing varies based on your specific needs. In those cases, we'll discuss your goals first and provide clear pricing before any work begins.
Will the final price always match the website?
Our published pricing reflects our standard consulting services and engagements. If your project requires additional scope, customization, or services outside those offerings, we'll provide a detailed proposal and pricing before any work begins. There are never surprises or hidden fees.
Do you offer custom consulting engagements?
Yes. While many businesses fit within our standard packages, custom engagements are available for organizations with unique needs or larger initiatives.
Why don't all Business Groups have pricing?
Some Cotarion Business Groups provide standardized services with published pricing, while others offer customized solutions that vary based on the scope of work or the specialists involved. As additional Business Groups become fully established, standardized pricing will be published whenever practical.
-
What happens during the first consultation?
Our first conversation focuses on understanding your business, goals, current challenges, and priorities. From there, we'll recommend the consulting engagement that provides the greatest value.
Do you work virtually or in person?
Both. Depending on your location and preferences, engagements can be conducted in person, virtually, or through a combination of both.
Do you offer ongoing support after a project is complete?
Yes. Many clients transition into one of our ongoing advisory partnerships for continued guidance, accountability, and strategic support.
-
What is the difference between project work and a retainer?
Project engagements solve a defined business challenge. Retainers provide ongoing strategic partnership, accountability, and continuous improvement as your business grows.
Which retainer is right for my business?
That depends on your goals, desired level of support, and the complexity of your business. We'll recommend the engagement level that provides the best long-term value.
Do I have to commit to a long-term agreement?
Not always. While many retainers are structured around 3-, 6-, or 12-month partnerships, we'll discuss the option that best fits your business.
-
How is Cotarion Inc. different from a traditional consulting firm?
We focus on practical implementation, not theory alone. Cotarion Inc. coordinates specialized Business Groups so clients can access the right support while maintaining one trusted relationship.
Will I work with one point of contact?
Every relationship begins with a dedicated point of contact who understands your business and coordinates the engagement. Additional specialists or Business Groups may participate when their expertise is needed, while Cotarion Inc. remains accountable for the overall client experience.
